Hemming – Hand of scarf

The hemming is at the heart of the hand- sewing know how.
French or Italian Hemming?

The gesture is the same: the needle woman rolls under her fingers the edge of the piece of tissue that has been entrusted to her, so as to obtain one tight and firm roll while remaining flexible supple, with an elegant fall, then she fixes it with an almost invisible, handmade stitch.

The hem rolls upright in the French style, whereas it is inverted in Italian style.

A scarf with a handmade hemming will catch the eye will caress the hand and neck and will sublimate the pattern and colours by a tenderly shaped frame. Men and women who will wear it will not fail to perceive its delicate feeling in every senses of the eyes, hands and neck.
